Casa dos Arcos
Trancoso
Trancoso
A sunny building of the 17th century, it has vernacular and classicistic features. The facade, framed by pilasters, has a continuous arcade on the ground floor, made up of eight semi-circular arches, supported by rough-hewn octangular pillars. Over the arches and in line with them, on the upper floor there are eight French windows with a curved lintel integrated in the crown of the building and the veranda set on the upper curve of the arcade. The arches are related to the occupation from time immemorial by some of the vendors of the market, who then spread throughout the village.
