Designed in 1886 to serve as a municipal nursery, this space was transformed into a botanical park ten years later, with the planting of tree species specially chosen for this purpose. Currently, it retains its initial characteristics with a romantic or eclectic nature, formed by an irregular network of plots, densely populated with spontaneous herbaceous vegetation and about 650 trees, divided into more than 40 species, many of them exotic and centenary. Classified as a Grove of Public Interest in 2004.
