Regulations for the use of sustainable urban mobility

The next decade is of paramount importance for the Historical Villages of Portugal Network, within the framework of a vision based on:
"Historical Villages of Portugal Network: a sustainable and innovative low-density territory, pioneering in its ecological commitment and its contribution to the demographic and economic sustainability of the region in which it is located."
This ambition aims to guide the Network in adapting to climate change, thereby contributing to the implementation of the European Green Deal, which is guided by the principles of social transition, digital transition, and green transition.
To this end, Action Lines and Strategic Axes have been defined, forming a Common Strategic Framework. Within the strategic axis “Inclusive and Sustainable Urban Mobility”, and specifically through the Action Line “Strengthening Mobility”, lies the partnership with Renault Portugal, whose primary objective is to implement a pilot project. This project is centered on the creation of a new sustainable mobility service aimed at visitors, businesses, and residents of the Historical Village of Castelo Novo.
The Historical Villages of Portugal – Association for Tourism Development (AHP – ADT), as the institution whose mission is the Cooperation for the Sustainable Development of the Historical Villages of Portugal Network, and Renault Portugal, as an entity with an organizational culture committed to corporate social responsibility, have signed a Partnership Protocol for the implementation of a pilot project dedicated to sustainable mobility. This will be initially deployed in the Historical Village of Castelo Novo. Joining this commitment is the Municipality of Fundão, which, in coordination with AHP-ADT, promotes the necessary conditions to ensure effective use by visitors, residents, and businesses of Castelo Novo.
Visitors, residents, and businesses are expected to contribute to this endeavor by being part of this ecosystem through the conscious and responsible use of the vehicles.
Accordingly, regulations have been established for residents, businesses, and visitors.
