Casa das Oliveiras / Costa Cardoso Pacheco Family Manor

Trancoso

Trancoso

The Casa das Oliveiras or the Saraiva de Sampaio Family Manor is a Mannerist-style building dating from the first half of the 17th century. The main facade, the entirety of which is ashlar stone, is characterised by an imposing austerity and the decentralised nature of the elements that make it up, including the limestone coat of arms of the Amaral, Sampaio, Costa and Pereira families. Sitting to its left, there is the manor of the Costa Cardoso Pacheco family, a building of the late 16th century or the early 17th century, which bears the stone coat of arms of the Cardoso and Vasconcelos families.
