Sortelha

The Clock tower was built in 1973 by the people of Sortelha. The builder was Joaquim Reis, a bricklayer from Quarta-Feira. The Watch Face is not oriented to the Historic Village, because the inhabintantes inside the village didn’t want to contribute to its construction.
Excellent viewpoint with upper battlements and four Windows on each side, it have a granite rectangular structure with 2.80m side and 7.70 m high.
