Beira General Inspectorate / Governors’ House

Almeida

Almeida

It was constructed in the late 17th and early 18th century. The original design was by Colonel António Velho de Azevedo, who also built the Military Hospital that backs onto it. Its current layout comes from adaptations made by Sergeant Major Miguel Luís Jacob in the second half of the 18th century. It consists of two square floors and a four-sided roof with a stonework platband.
