The route departs the Historical Village on a steep descent, crossing the stream by the river park and joining the N18, where it turns right. It continues straight towards Gândaras de Baixo before turning right towards Atalaia do Campo, which it crosses in the direction of Zebras. Before Zebras it veers right towards Vale da Torre and Lardosa. After Lardosa it follows the N18 to the right for a few hundred metres before turning left towards the Santa Águeda Dam. Shortly afterwards it turns right towards Soalheira, followed by the N18 junction and then a left turn after the Atalaia do Campo crossroads to return to Castelo Novo by climbing the Escaldado slope, again on a very pretty narrow rural road. The cobblestoned arrival at the Historical Village follows the GR22 route, and ends at Largo da Bica.
