Founded by a native family in the 1980s and opened on 15 August 1989, it was the first restaurant to be born in the village of Piódão, maintaining its rustic and traditional characteristics. This restaurant serves typical regional and traditional food, including Chanfana à Fontinha, cooked in the traditional way of the village and its people in a wood-fired oven, Bucho de Porco Recheado, typical of the municipality of Arganil, Trutas d‘ Piódão, cooked on the hillside of São Pedro do Açor, and Bacalhau d’ Avó.

It also accepts orders for oven-roasted lamb.

O Fontinha Restaurant is located in the interior of the village of Piódão (next to the fountain and the attractive Levada de Piódão), and it should be noted that the building is constructed from traditional schist on the outside and inside, the finish is also constructed from the same material, which makes for exceptional beauty.

House specialities:

- Chanfana à Fontinha, Bucho de Porco Recheado, Truta d' Piódão and Bacalhau d'Avó.
